It’s a goofy, seen-it-before, kid-fueled romp, but Netflix’s latest family flick works when it counts. The idea (that one day a year, kids get to make the rules) will surely get the attention of the milk-and-cookies set (and, more importantly, hold it), but there’s a decent amount of parent-friendly fare here, too. It’s not groundbreaking cinema by any stretch, but the enthusiasm of the cast (led by Jennifer Garner and Edgar Ramirez) helps earn our buy-in.
