The fact that it’s directed by Steven Soderbergh should be enough for you to drop what you’re doing and give this film your attention for two hours. If not, the cast that includes Jon Hamm, Benicio del Toro, Don Cheadle, David Harbour, Julia Fox, and Brendan Fraser as cogs in a 50s-set mob flick about stolen plans for the first catalytic converter might. It’s Tarantino-lite with a splash of Ocean’s Eleven and a soupçon of the Coen Brothers, and it may well go overlooked, but it’s among Soderbergh’s finest.
