Yet another parable about the dangers of technology overtaking society, this better-than-average Disney animated flick centers on a middle schooler who gets a factory-seconds version of the hot new gadget, an EVE-like bubble robot. Trouble is, it can’t perform its usual social media chores, so the kid has to rely on an analog relationship to bond with it. It’s cute and generally fun and charming with a hella-worthwhile message, but it’ll also enter and leave your consciousness fairly quickly.
