In the works for almost two decades, this ode to the joy of amateur, backyard filmmaking is written and directed by Patrick Read Johnson, who based it on his own life as his teenager working to get into the movie industry. Set in the months before the release of ‘Star Wars’ (hence the title) and shot unapologetically on a shoestring budget, it’s a wonderfully creative and brilliantly executed love letter to Hollywood. A must-see for sci-fi nerds and movie geeks alike.
