The always-great Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley take center stage in this (believe it or not) true story about a woman in 1920 England who accuses her neighbor of sending her (and later much of their village) wildly racy and profane letters in the post. As the zany mystery unfolds, Colman and Buckley step up their game more and more, delivering pitch-perfect performances under the direction of Thea Sharrock (‘Me Before You’). It’s sly and hilarious and another fine example of the British doing dry, spot-on comedy extremely well.
