This low-budget festival darling may just be the most honest and lifelike portrayal of toxic friendship ever captured on film. Star, co-writer, and director Michael Covino has created an indie masterpiece that’s either a black comedy or a lighthearted drama—you can decide for yourself. It’s also (for all you cinephiles out there) a masterclass in extended, one-take tracking shots. Brilliant stuff.
