As long as you’re armed with a box or two of Kleenex, you should be in good shape to make it through this weepie about a terminal cancer patient (Dakota Johnson), and the two men who take care of her—husband Matt (Casey Affleck) and best friend Dane (Jason Segal). Sure, there’s a strong sense of “who would want to sit down for two hours and watch this”, but the three powerhouse performances are, alone, worth the price of admission. And, heck, life can’t always be Barb and Star visiting Vista Del Mar, right?
