We’ve had plenty of Groundhog Day movies. And plenty more “Die Hard on a …” movies. But what about Die Hard on Groundhog Day? Frank Grillo stars in this surprisingly snazzy twist on two tired tropes, helping turn it into something that, well, frankly works. It’s a fun blend of black humor and ultra-violence that could have crashed and burned, but instead director Joe Carnahan (The A-Team) and scripters Chris and Eddie Corey have put together a clever high-octane testosterone flick that never slows down.
