After being in a coma for 20 years, Samantha (Rebel Wilson) wakes up ready to resume her former life… as a high school student. All of the typical ‘Never Been Kissed’ hijinks ensue, as the 37-year-old attempts to navigate everything from popularity to academics to learning what an iPhone is. It’s clunky at times, and the script is wafer-thin, but director Alex Hardcastle (TV’s ‘Grace and Frankie’, ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’) lets Wilson strut her usual schtick, which helps make ‘Senior Year’ a decent-enough romp. Decent.
