This quiet, generally nuanced, all-the-way-Indie focuses on an alcoholic deadbeat dad trying to get his life together in advance of his ex moving away cross-country with their kid. It’ll never get any attention from anyone but serves as a testament to the ability of great performances and a thoughtful script to turn any film into something magical. Kristen Johnston is the only face you’ll recognize, but that doesn’t mean anything in the big picture. Talent speaks for itself.
