Much of this stand-up special (the comedian’s eighth) reflects primarily on his stir-crazy hours spent during the pandemic. You would think all that time would have allowed him to write some better material than whatever this is. Sure, some things work—the idea for the saddest Pixar movie, particularly—but when a comedian spends what seems like an eternity asking ‘What do you do for a living?’ to a half-dozen people in the front row, you know you’re in trouble. And we are.
