This sharp and biting satire of modern-day restaurant culture is as black (and bloody) as comedy can be without being truly a horror movie (or is it?). Ralph Fiennes stars as the top-level chef at a frou-frou restaurant on a private island, with dinner guests including Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Janet McTeer, and John Leguizamo (all of whom are wonderful in their roles). It seems quaint enough at first, but before you can begin to savor the amuse-bouche, all hell breaks loose, and it just gets more macabre from there. By the time we figure out what’s really going on, ‘The Menu’ has evolved into a deliciously dark and so very twisted bite that we may never be able to fully digest it.
