After eleven years, Shrek’s feline sidekick is back with a fun and largely whimsical (though too dark for very young eyes) adventure. From the creative team behind ‘The Croods: A New Age’, the film finds Puss (Antonio Banderas) down to the last of his nine lives and on the quest to find a magic wishing star to get more. Joining him is returnee Salma Hayek as Kitty Softpaws, along with new faces (er, voices) Florence Pugh, John Mulaney, and Olivia Colman. While it does get intense and dark more than it probably should, adults and youngsters (say, 8 and up?) will have a ball.
