The latest from director Guy Ritchie doesn’t hit on all cylinders quite like his earlier work, but there’s enough crime-caper fun to keep it entertaining, even if it trips a little too often on its own tropes and cliches. Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Bugzy Malone, and Cary Elwes star as a for-hire group sent to figure out who’s behind a billion-dollar arms deal. Hugh Grant is the resident baddie, and Josh Hartnett is also along as a hilariously spoiled movie star. The cast has a slyly good time, and Ritchie’s slam-bang pacing and editing keep things moving, but it’s not enough to keep it from feeling like an ‘Ocean’s 11’ wannabe.
