The latest effort from Comedy Central seems a lot like a movie where someone came up with a snappy title and then tried (and only halfway succeeded) to make a film around it. ‘SNL’ vet Beck Bennett stars as the office schlub who, to impress his aggressively testosterone-laden boss (Joel McHale), announces he’s going to run in an upcoming charity marathon. Trouble is, he has trouble even getting up the stairs at his office. So-so jokes about the travails of running abound, but McHale carries the festivities by pouring his all into it. The film misses more than it hits, but there are at least a few chuckle-worthy moments to kinda make it worthwhile.
