Hot on the heels of last month’s perfectly fine ‘The Family Plan’ (and countless others that have come before it), this so-so film about an assassin (Kaley Cuoco) who hides her secret from loved ones does benefit from a decent sense of danger and a nice smattering of comedy, but it doesn’t go nearly as far as it could have. David Oyelowo brings the heart and humor as the husband in the dark (who fortunately for us, finds out early on), but director Thomas Vincent seems more content making a semi-decent, forgettable film instead of a wild and thrilling ride in the vein of ‘True Lies’. Chalk it up as another missed opportunity.
