It’s been eight and a half years since Po (voice by Jack Black) last skadooshed his way into theaters, and though I can’t say I’ve missed him terribly, the fourth installment gives the under-tween target audience plenty to stand up and cheer about. Despite the absence of the Furious Five (Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen, and the rest), the film still manages to offer up enough frenetic action, young-kid humor, and new, colorful secondary characters (led by Awkwafina and Viola Davis) to fit in snuggly with the other three films in the franchise. It’s not a must-see by any means, but if you need to keep your kid occupied for 90 minutes, it’ll do the trick.
