The Beatles’ 1970 documentary (directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg) about the production of their last studio album gets a fresh new look thanks to Peter Jackson, following up his expansive ‘Get Back’ series for Disney+ back in 2021. Essentially a lead-up to (and including) the famed rooftop concert, the film shows the band bringing their final batch of songs together, struggling to finish lyrics that we now, of course, know by heart. It’s a fascinating glimpse into the mind of the Fab Four and worth a watch–not just for music scholars and Beatles fans but for everyone who enjoys seeing how the magic happened.
