Call it a Superbad version of Never Rarely Sometimes Always or a redux of Unpregnant, this hard-R comedy stars Kuhoo Verma as a teenaged girl on the hunt for a Plan B pill and Victoria Moroles as the BFF there by her side throughout all the hijinks. The directorial debut of Natalie Morales, the film does exactly what it sets out to do, and had it not arrived eight months after the fantastic Unpregnant, it may have felt fresh and fun all on its own. As it is (and through no real fault of its own), it can’t help but feel a little stale.
