The start of a three-week back-to-back-to-back horror trilogy, Part One finds its inspiration in teen scream flicks like, well, Scream, Scream 2, Scream 3, and… well, you get the idea. It’s nothing you haven’t seen before, but there’s a certain sense of nostalgia that works, and also it’s also buoyed by decent performances from the largely little-known cast. You better damn-well be gonzo for ’90s Top 40 music, though—because you can’t escape it here, no matter how much you’ll want to by the end of it.
